Here are some of the shields i made for my byz scen.
wallachia, tuscany, papal states, france, mantua, bulgaria, venice, and the dutchy of athens. all were edited from shields found in europa universalis also here are two of my units

Here's one, but it's in ToT format. Also uses the Mercator Projection.

Do you have FW or MGE? They come with a MARS scenario that has a red-brown barren mountainous terrain.

I think the River War scenario had some nice sand dunes in the place of hills. Check the CDGroup or ask around.


Also, has anyone thought of raiding the Transport Tycoon Forums? I know St. Leo grabbed a few graphics a few years back, but the TTDx community has been pumping out some decent terrain and buildings.
