  • How about this, I think the coloring is off just a little bit, but you can adjust it to your liking. Also there are some units that I made probably about six months or so ago. A fedayeen out of fairline's Iraqi infantry, a recoloured cobra, a tomahawk cruise missle, a sherman with rocket attachment (can't think of the name right now), and a recoloured hummvee that I did the other night. Nevermind the artillery, it is a work in progress.

From memory, they were called 'Caliope' [which I've probably spelled incorrectly ]

          • Yes, you did, Calliope, after the greek sea-nymph.

But Case, the one thing is, how did you get all the ships, merchants and catalinas, b24s out in the ocean?

That's the sad thing, I am not back I am just on christmas vacation. I got two weeks off and then another week because it snow two feet around here and has been 30 below zero (farenheit) for the last week. As of Monday though I will be going to Texas for three months. I will be in the middle of nowhere and have no computer much less internet. It's gonna suck the big one.

P.S. sorry about the modern units in there, wasn't thinking when I posted them.

                • Well they can fit into pre-1979, so you're ok.

                  Good to see you back!

I used a combination of goto events and setting the mercant ships 'role' to 'attack' rather then 'transport'.

                    • I like the ships Skipper , and nice compilation Jimmywax

I've had a think about the high contrast units I've been making recently, in light of seeing Catfish's excellent recolours on his site. These German tanks are toned down, reshaded and have much darker tracks and wheels; they look much better than the early versions with the garish tracks, I think. I have the original 16-bit ToT units I made them from, if anyone is interested.

The Pz II and Pz 38t are new; I'm sure someone wanted them (Arthedain?)

                      • Once again you leave me speachless, Fairline! You are right, these are better than the others. But how can one improve perfection?

I tweaked my own unit and added Failine's German head to it.

                          • What is goto event? And is it Hitler? And I thought AI would only buld 2 Attack units.

                            • A Hitler unit! How cute!
Allow me to roll my Churchill tank over him!

                              (some great units, folks!)

                              PS
If you give any ground units the air superiority '3' role, the AI will build them as usual.

Good work as ever, Mr fairline...
Great attention to detail on the rollers and armoured skirting, etc!

I think a resounding yes is the answer to seeing those ToT 16-bit beauties!
