My attempt at recolouring the nose of my CF-105 Arrow,I am not delusional! Now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna go dance with the purple wombat who's playing show-tunes in my coffee cup!
Rules are like Egg's. They're fun when thrown out the window!
Difference is irrelevant when dosage is higher than recommended!

That's exactly the problem; I use IE (stupidly!) and I suspect that most others do too. IE darkens the units further; if I click and save your png it will be 10-15% darker than your original. There is a utility for stripping the gamma-correction thingy (Catfish, help: I don't know what I'm talking about ) from png's so that IE displays them correctly. I'll tral back through the thread.
Yep, the Utility is called Mozilla Firefox!

and i put my sig on it beacause of all the crap i went through while playing with it, i even tried some of fairlines ww2 artillery wheels on it but they didn't look right either, it all comes down to the fact that i am a hopeless perfectionist when doing this

It doesn't matter whether the person who posts the png file is using IE, Mozilla or any other browser; the darkening of the graphics occurs when the person who clicks and saves the png is using IE. So unless you have a surefire way of ensuring every casual browser of this site is using Mozilla, it still means that whoever posts the png in the first place needs to strip the gamma-correction thingy from the png using the utility that I've now lost.
I'm not sure if that answer is intelligable
