Development continues . . .

Ok, I just sent out the latest version, much improved, to everyone on my list. If I missed anyone, post here and let me know and send a copy as soon as I see it. If anyone needs a new sound file, let me know, but I didn't want to send 5 or 6 of them out unless I knew for certain that someone needed and wanted one. They're very big zip packages and take a lot of time to load up--big hassle.

This new version has gotten rid of a lot of the little annoying errors and oversights and has a very cleaned-up tech tree. There are many new unit graphics and a few new graphics in other areas. The events have been cleaned up too, but several other events are still being "considered."

Please do let me know what you think about this one and thanks to for all the comments and criticisms that have come back so far. The contributions are making the scenario better with every response. In the final release version, I will certainly credit all who helped in this regard as playtesters in the readme file.

Hey guys. I'm only a half newbie really. I've been checking the Scenario Legue Forum most days for over a year now. I have posted afew messages but generally I just like keep track of new scenarios.

Anyway. I would be interested in this PBEM game. Would you mind mailing it to me exile?

No Spain is not taken, I hope you will side whit us (Italy and France) against the Imperials (Brittain and Germany)

I hope they wont declare war imidietly, just becouse we are part of an opposing alliance block doesn't mean that there can't be (a tensionfilled) peace...

Of course, we can all live in peace and harmony, singing songs of joy and bliss, frolicking through vast fields of joy and happiness, then BAM! stabbed in the back.

I guess the alliance would depend on Spain. What's happening over there, or will they stay nuetral for a while and see where the cards fall?

Will Spanish governments be overthrown by radicals, or will they work within the system for the greater good of Europe and Spain? (ei will they be fascists or imperialists)

Hey, mabey they'll join with Russia and the Ottoman to protect each other from 'alarming extremes' of their neighbors. Who knows, use your imagination! Or don't, its up to you.

We all have to put up with some sacrifices in life.

Actually, I liked the machine gun unit quite a bit and it wasn't an easy step to simply get rid of it. Unfortuneately, the AI did truly weird things with this unit and nothing that I did could stop it, so, it had to go. I really liked the sound for this unit; it came from the Jules Verne scenario's machine gun unit and was really cool. I've been busy with it over the past 2 days and the version that I have now is very close to complete. I have everything the way that I want it and the AI is not doing anything more stupid or ridiculous than usual, and . . . I haven't made any substantial changes for quite awhile, and . . . I went ahead and produced the final readme, which is a sure sign that the thing is almost finished. There might still be a hidden bug or two, and I'm depending on you guys, the credited playtesters to let me know if you find anything amiss.

I tried to attach the file here, but the thing says it's too big. Email me if you want a copy of the new version.

edit; one last thing. The final version will contain a second Events file strictly for multi-play, very much abreviated when compared to the solo events file.

So you mean that Germany wont automatically declare war on england at a certain point in the game???? please please please please. hehe do i sound too desperate lol.

I agree with my ally Ioanes that the peace will depend on spain for a lot of reasons. Ease of transportation being one of them but also it would tip the balance of the medetterainian war.
Just something we should remember.

At the moment the sides are

Britain & German
vs
France & Italy

With russia spain and the turks neutral.
So i wonder which way those nations will turn. Will they join the ritious or the infedels. (use your judgment for which is which lol

)
