Truly, I look forward to using any tool that will imrpove ToT and scenario design

Best Wishes, and if you ever need a playtester...

        Angelo,

        That looks great!
When I first saw that screenshot with the warning message I thought my machine was crashing!
It really stands out. Good job.

            Thank you for you words,

KhanMan: Don´t worry, you´re on my playtesting list since 19 October (last time you posted here)

DathVeda: What does it do? well it depends from what you tell it to do:
Seriously, explaining how CSPL is realized is a bit complex, anyway imagine to be able to access Tot memory while Tot is running and to be able to read/write data from this memory just calling a procedure from a C++ program (sorry, no VB or other languages for this release ).
I know, it seems a bit complex but don´t worry, i´ve coded CSPL with a lot of templates to allow scenario designers to use it without getting crazy with C++ syntax.
I cannot release CSPL now (sorry) because i´ve still to write down the whole documentation , it is still not tested and even if i´ve successfully implemented some basic events (as the one you see in the screenshot) i don´t know if it will work in a full scenario (and i´m really worried about AI way to handle these memory changes)

Actually i´ve successfully implemented several events:
-Link maps east-west (and also top-down)
-Link two places on different maps without the annoying "same X,Y" effect as in normal TOT
-Units which can be built only in cities with a particular improvement built
-Units which changes their unit-type pressing a key
-Events triggered by a unit entering in a particular square

But i was more interested in coding CSPL than in coding complex events, so these are only "basic" events you can obtain with CSPL...

How long till this is out? I'd love to use it in Kyokujitsu.

By all that is Civ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you serious?!?!?!?! Please let this be real.
Angelo this is absolutely brilliant, puts ToTEdit to shame. If you need a playtester than just give me a shout.

                    Darth:
Don´t ask me for another deadline, considered how i missed spectacularly last one i´m afraid to try another time
But i can say one thing; i hope to find more time to work on tutorial scenario during these holidays but if at the beginning of january i´m still working on the scenario i´ll write down a brief documentation and i´ll send you a "prototype" version (if you don´t mind the lack of a complete documentation) of the library; so, in any case, during the first days of the new year you´ll get the CSPL.
                    what do you think?

                    Miner:
                    I never joke about Civ
Anyway i want to point out another time that CSPL has never been properly tested (on a full scenario i mean) so, even if i think it will work well (obvious, i programmed it ), it´s better to wait and see if a complete scenario with CSPL support will work.

Wouldn't it be easier to send it to some of the scenario building experts to test it out while they work on their new scenarios?

I know C++, so I would be a good choice for a tester.

                          Shadowstrike:
From my point of view following your suggestion will make things easier, but i think that from the point of view of scenario experts this will make things extremely hard:
CSPL is not just a tool, and it can be difficult to use it without a proper tutorial, this is why i'm trying to realize a scenario (writing down in the mean-while how i've realized that thing, why i used that option and so on).
Another thing is debugging: if a bug shows up while i'm realizing this tutorial scenario i'll be able to understand quickly where the error is and quickly i'll be able to solve it while i'm pretty sure that giving CSPL out before time will make things slower.
Anyway if some scenario expert really want to test it (but with test it i mean TEST IT ), no problem for me.

                          Greetings,
                          Angelo

I see..... Hmm... all well, I guess I'll just ave to wait to see some of the "advanced" scenarios..

                              Hello all,
First of all HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
                              I have two good news and one bad;
the bad is that i need to work hard at university so i´m forced to freeze tutorial scenario development and probably to slow down debugging of CSPL.
                              BUT...
I´ve ready a quick example of CSPL system, nothing incredible but you´ll see all events i described plus full source code explaining how i realized them (but i notice now that there is a problem, as you can see from screenshot my webspace is temporary gone, who wants to help me hosting the example? ).
I´m particularly interested in know if CSPL works under TOT V1.0 (without patch) TOT non-english version and under O.S. differents from win98 (win2000 where i don´t think it will work and under winME,well, i have no idea...)
And this was the first good news, while the second one is that i wrote down the manual (it´s long, it´s full of bad english expressions and probably it´s not user-friendly, anyone wants to help me making it better?) and in a couple of days i should be able to send a beta to developers who requested it.
I think StLeo & DarthVeda (even if i suggest Darth to not lose time with CSPL since i want to play Kyokujitsu ASAP ) while Khanman and Miner were more interested in testing a scenario realized with CSPL instead of CSPL library itself, is this correct?

                              Greetings,
                              Angelo
