  • Help!

I am new to Test of Time and I have no instructions. Can anyone tell me the best way to feed a city when it is starving and how to get lots of gold?

    Thanks.

    Starving cities

    There are several approaches;
Building a granary or The Pyramids slows the rate of food depletion,
Building a food caravan in a 'food rich city' and sending it to the starving city will -1 food out of the first and +1 food into the second,
Changing the form of government sometimes works (i.e. get out of Despotism)
    Irrigate and Farm,
Reallocate workers so they are on the richest food producing tiles,
Disband or relocate the support city of settlers and engineers,
Build a supermarket to 'activate' your farmland
Terraform desert, tundra, etc. to plains or grassland.
Irrigate swamps and jungle to grassland.
    Build a harbor where applicable
...can't think of any more off the top...

    Lots of gold
    Develop good trade routes.
Create alliances and ask for tributes.
Demand tributes - if you're strong - from other tribes (depends upon your government type)
Build the economic improvements and wonders - marketplace, banks, stock exchanges, superhighways, Colossus, Adam Smith.

food solutions have been pretty much covered. how da smokes always gets mo money is 1>build marketplaces/banks/stock exchanges 2>conquer cities 3>under fundamentalism, build lots of temples and catherdrals cause they cost nothing and generate tithes (gold =to the # of people they make happy).
