  • I think someone at MPS is lying.

From what i've concluded, the whole "saving disk space" thing was a lie. I used a cd writing program (Adaptec Easy CD Creater) and it showed that when i copied the contents to it, they only took up 300 megabytes of the average 650 megabyte CD. I also added every single video from the civ2 video directory (Including the high council), and still had 75 megabytes left. The disk space was obviusly not a problem.

Note: I didn't actaully copy the cd. I just used the program to show how much space it took on an average cd.

This is an unfinished game. When developing the game Hasbro bought the combany and wanted them to finish the game immediately (so that Hasbro could fire the employees afterwards).

You're forgetting the space the digital tracks take up on the CD. These take up 279.16MB.

Add that to the 359.8MB of actual files taken up, and the CD contains 638.96MB of space taken up. The CD can only hold 650MB of data, so it's pretty much at it's limit.

But still, I don't think we needed 20 odd movies about the midgard guy awakening.

Nonfunctional movies are easier to make than useful editors.

They can use two CDs if one is not enough. Not an excuse.
