Been playing away and can say that this one is another classic!
It is like a fore-runner to the Age of Crusades -
But with better pace and some great conquests!
Seriously, if you like medieval mayhem, give this a try!

I have played up to Early Spring 778 so far. I think I may start again, this time at Deity level, as I have not found it very challenging. Nobody has declared war and my only fright was when a raiding horseman wiped out the garrison of Strasbourg and extorted some gold out of me. I really like this scenario and hope it will be more challenging at the higher setting.
This scenario looks great, I enjoyed setting up a regular trade operation with the English using the ox powered merchants. I really like the seasons, I have never seen it done quite like that before. If you don't mind I may pinch the idea in the future.
The well written ReadMe file helped set the scene and helped me work out what I needed to do. Without this vital document some scenarios can be very daunting and can therefore be difficult to get into. I had no problems understanding the objective of the game and cracking on. The only thing I would stress is that the game is probably more challenging played at the hardest level.
So far I would rate this as an immersing and well researched old school scenario with a fair few new twists to keep things fresh. I look forward to trying again on a more difficult level
