The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.

If I ever knew this, I have forgotten it. I want to have impassable mountain peaks in a scenario, but I don't want any ZOC problems with them. On the other hand, I don't want to get rid of ZOCs in general. Is there any way to get around this (without Test Of Time )?

I've got all 7 civs in the game, and I also don't want an alliance with Barbs. EZRhinos idea sounds interesting, but ocean squares are much more productive than mountain squares, and I don't really want that either...
So far, all I can think of doing is securing mountain passes with fortress units, which is alright as long as the pass does not get conquered... which is supposed to be one of the central aspects of the game

Alright, alright. It's going to be an "overview" scenario covering the entire Asian continent between 622 and 750. It will feature the Arabs, Byzantines, Persians, Kashmiris, Kok Turks, Tang Chinese and Tibetans. I'll explain more about the general scenario concept later on.
And I'll need loads of graphics when the time comes.

I'll zip up the English files when I get home. The features are listed at Catfish's site. Have a good browse round the other sections; it's a must-see for ToT:
Simply give the Mountain unit "Ignores zones of control" It works both ways. So even though most units don't have the rule, all will move right past the mountains... if I remember correctly. Or did you have to make the Mountain unit a diplomat... I don't remember..
Impassible terrain via ToT is the simplest and most effective way to do this. You can also give an optional flag to units allowing them to move into such terrain, eg. mountain units.
Otherwise, if you use stationary air units, the only way to eliminate the zones of control is to have their civ allied with all others. Otherwise there will be a zone of control.
If you know how to hex-edit, you could use barbarian units and hex-edit an alliance with all civs. Such units will also be impassible to air units, a glitch that you don't have to worry about with ToT's impassible terrain.
