Hohohoho, it's Santa Clause.
Time for some update here ... I was quite busy over the past couple of weeks, again I have been to Zadar to improve my Croatian and now that I am back in Vienna I have another task to do: I need a new keyboard to continue this one (and, well yes, I need to reinstall Windumb on my PC which I will do tonight).
More to come soon ...

Glad to see you back and busy on the forum Steph! Though I myself have been noticeably absent from time to time lately... damn that real world .
Anyways those city graphics look just great my friend, as do those lovely units Gareth cooked up and posted on the previous page. I'm very anxious to see how this project develops, especially since your definatly the best authority on this era in history on the forum .

Update
I have designed the tech tree and agreed upon most of the improvements so far. Furthermore, I also started to combine the techt tree with the units. I suppose I will get this part done by next week since I *should* be doing other things ... like transcribing the texts like below.
By the way, there are two more things: (1) Does anyone know whether or not I could 'borrow' James Tout's city gfx? And (2) Has anyone some suggestions about the wonders?
One more thing: I do not want to include barracks and granaries, as this would seriously spoil the fun, any comments on this?

IIRC you couldn't build barracks in techumseh's Warlords of China. There were barracks in key cities though. I really liked that idea and if I ever finish one of my scenario projects I also exclude barracks. It means more balance and makes veteran units more valuable.
No granaries? I should borrow that idea. This could make the city containing the pyramids wonder a treasured place...

I totally agree with the idea of NO, FEW or VERY EXPENSIVE barracks. This certainly makes for more interesting gameplay in Bonaparte which has no barracks. There are few things better in life than gaining a new veteran unit in the heat of battle!
Re: Jamestout's cities.
I think James is more than happy for people to make use of his cities. He was keen for them to be posted to the S-League and to be complied and posted on the graphics threads! Correct me if I am wrong JT
