First of all a friendly "Hello to all here" from Germany.

I hope some of people here will risk a look at ther german league. It´s true, we play mostly 1x1x deity, but some of us will playing other rules if you dont ask unpolite for it.

It´s not needed to play only in league, i would be happy to find new opponents for single games also.

Yes, go play on a league with about 10 people total playing 1x1x Deity that are incapable of understanding why 1x1x Deity has less options and is thus less competitive than 2x2x King. Oh, and they also have decided that no matter what kind of saves you provide, or evidence you provide, that nobody on their ladder cheats. Even if you've known the guy for 8 years and have removed him 5 times from gameleague. The civ2liga players have all been playing at least 2-3 years and know more than those who were around back in 1999 when people actually still played this game.

I don't play MP in Vanilla anymore but as a grown-up in its (the Civ2liga's) standard settings may I ask you please, what makes 2x2 king more competitive than 1x1 Deity?

The people that were on the league are long gone, and many of them were 2x2x King players that played for gameleague.

I can write a novel on why 2x2x King is more competitive, and I have before. I'll look for some of my old posts before I decide to write another one.

Drixnak stepped in our chat and called himself the Best Civ-Player ever. And talkt to us like to a couple of fools because we playing 1x1 deity. He say he knows everything and we nothing about the game.

He was a loudmouth and very unpolite. Called us idiots, beginners, cheaters, pieces of **** and so on in our forums...

He sayed 1x1x deity is only a race for HG.

He called himself unstopable an unbeatable with HG in 1x1x deity and he would prove it....

We played two games - and i won both easily. And i played without HG!!

In Civ2liga nobody says that one kind of game is better or worser the other. We think its different in strategies and tactics. And we like our 1x1x deity.

I played vs him some 2x2x king games also...(i never played this way except 2 times) and i was not impressed of his skills.

if i won he called it as luck only, if he won it was "great strategy"

I would play 2x2x king also, but not vs a man who say he did know everything and then was unable to proof it with results

I think Drixnak/Eyes enjoys trolling people in the forums more than playing Civ2. That's his real game.

Bhaal forgets to mention that he demands a restart until he starts on a river with a couple of specials. He demanded a restart when he had a whale in his capital with grassland and forests even, and on another game demanded a restart with a river and fur with forests. Then he demanded normal land mass sizes, which for those of you who don't know, it gives ****ed up weird land shapes so I was forced to start using triemes to try to expand. He basically set it up to **** over HG and **** over me.

In our 2x2x game you started just about every single game with a unit first turn. I can't recall a string of games ever where your start was so good I felt I had no way of winning and resigned before ever even meeting you. It's kind of hard for you to talk **** about me when I pretty much wrote the book on how to play 2x2x King small map duels. Like I said, go play some games where you don't start off with a unit every time and where city placement and unit decisions actually come into play, then we'll talk. I don't really consider, except for a few of them, the games we played yesterday as games. The hut starts were ****ing off the scale and probably 2/3 of the time they favored you by a moderate to large margin. You even had 1 game where you started with 2 peat, got 5 advanced tribes, and a bunch of units but still lost. Another game you killed all my horsemen by 3500BC, I literally had no units and you were only 8 spaces away from my capital (you don't realize how close you came to winning that game) and I still came back and won. When you can make those kinds of comebacks against me, then we'll talk.

Yes i lost a game which i shoulded not to lose in 2x2xking with a little bit more expieriences. But keep in mind that i never played this kind bevore, except once. As a "newbie" in this, i was not impressed of the "skills" of the "master". And after i was thinking about my mistakes in this gamestyle, i was able to beat you at the next day once from a weaker position. If you a real master, that could not possible, after one single day of practice of me.


You searching reasons now for your clear defeats in 1x1xdeity. In both games we had an nearly equal start. In the second you enjoyed 3 early wales vs. my small river with a bull and a bird. If you really know everything about the game you should now, that a good positin in 2x2xking is maybe not a good in 1x1x deity and contrary.

Deity games are taking much more time then a 2x2xking. I would really see you skill if starting both from nearly equal positions. And not to wasting hours for a game, wich was losed or won by starting positions. It was an nearly even start(maybe a bit better for you), and you was beaten. How could that be, Mr. Unbeatable??

You accepted medium land masses (usuall in medium map games in civ2liga), still in youre believing of being unbeatable.

You reached republic and HG but i was in front with Monarchy and Pyramids.

It´s my fault if you not able to handle early expansion with boats?

You didn't do anything in your games better. The only game you won I freely admit that I made an enormous stupid mistake that lead to a win for you that should not have happened. Were this 1999 again, that would be an easy win, but I haven't played in like 4 years. Otherwise, you still build on forests like an idiot, you still build on top of specials, you still build 1 space apart, and you still move your units like ****. You still have no idea how I read the map. Your explanation for it was that I was clicking in the black looking for your cities which was just stupid. Yesterday, except for 1, the games you won I resigned before we even met because of your starts. Another one you took my capital in 3300BC, in 6 huts I got 50 gold. Those aren't normal games by any definition.

Maybe you know more, but my knowlegde was high enough to beat you in 1x1x deity easily and to win some games in 2x2x king after a short practice time..

If i really know nothing, if i really placed my cities like an idiot and moved my units as you talked, how was it possible that you lost a single one?? Agaist the "best" player an idoit can not win so many times. But you explain all with luck....lol

I think u play under my level and you cannot explain yourself what i do.

Nah, I'm not going to bother. They killed the fun when they took the side of Suntzu/Bud/Kasya, the guy I removed from gameleague 5 times over the years. Now I'm the one being accused of cheating, using 2 computers, giving myself gold, being removed from every ladder in existence, and being a newbie when I don't cheat. Basically Bud has successfully turned everything about himself and put it on me. You see this in every game. As the game dies the old players leave and they are replaced by small amounts of new players. So I'm dealing with people who have no idea who I am, and no idea who Bud/SunTzu is, and no one is left who remembers the gameleague incidents to back me up. Nothing short of SunTzu coming out and saying he is in fact Bud would prove to them what I've said, and even then I think they still wouldn't believe it.

You simply searching absurd excuses for your defeats, nothing more.
The "Suntzu" player in our league had never ever used any cheat. And we play with him since years. All you say about him and his "cheating" is completly ridicolous.

With a little bit luck your 1x1xdeity skill is high enough to beat me in 1 of 5.
And if i have a little bit practice in 2x2xking i dont believe that you can reach 50% or more.
