  • Another Civ II "development"

I just saw this on Civfanatics (yeah, I know, I shouldn't wander on those parts... ):

Is there any desire for a game like this: a. Can play Civ 2 scenarios b. Has a new scripting engine for Civ 2 events. It supports the existing events and has new ones. c. Looks like Civ 2, and can play a game just like Civ 2, but it's capable of much more.

    Could be interesting...

    @ Cyrion
Sounds very interesting, also sounds like change though. Is change a good thing? Could be scary

Nah, I'm just kidding. I don't really feel qualified to answer him as I know nothing of the game mechanics so my opinion would be fairly worthless.

It does seem a bit vague also I'm a bit confused really!

Also the picture of the fish scared me a bit

We've been playing the same game for ten years now- I think you know the collective answer of this community

That doesn't look like anything yet to me, and I'm curious as to why you posted about it here before asking that guy more first.

Because I didn't want to subscribe to civfanatics just to ask a question when I knew someone else would do it for me...

            Great response Merc!

...am I correct in remembering that it used to be impossible to post links to CFC from this site or have years of drinking just addled my brain?

              Can be interesting YES !

Just last night i was wondering.. if the community would pay..a programmer to give us what we wish..
For me.. I would pay something to have the game "better/as i wish"..
              Each modification.. 10 dollars ?

But.. i also think that would need years to put all together what WE wish.. and then maybe we found out we want CIV3C..

I dunno..but.. guys.. my age of retirements from job is still far..
but im sure i will be still playing this around.. cause quite no other game gimme the "ideas" and pleasure of modding as Civ2 gives me ...
so.. i mean.. we ll need something to do for when we go to pension!!!!
and anything can give this game more longevity will be welcome to me.. as any scenario you do.. is always a new pleasure to me..
(but today i got fever.. maybe my brain is out of order.. to give u an idea.. my today idea for a new scenario is.. "Custer Last Stand" .. yep.. impossible ?? )

I think years of drinking have addled your brain... Except your judgement of my posting style, obviously.
