Been doing some updating recently...
I know some here have indicated that the reason why the game has seemed to crash is because of the tech tree. If that is true then, based on experienced, I concluded that it is probably use the last techs on the tech list (you know, the User Techs after the three "Free Techs.") So, I completely did the "tech tree" (more like which techs went where - the tech tree still progresses as normal.)
Also, I did a bit of touching up in the graphics department - for the Canadian Mech Infantry, I took the ToT pic of the LAV, "greened" it a bit to make it match the color of the Leo 2, MGE-ized it and cleaned it up. I also took the Marine's AAV and moved it toward a more "central" position, as it was a bit off to the side previously.The Ghost of the Disco is ... your mastermind, your mastermind!

The problem you described sounds quite close to one I experienced while playing the "Of Celts and Iberians" scenario!
Maybe the game crashes because at that point of time, a civ is unable to research a tech?Ankh-Morpork, we have an orangutan...

Should it be allowed or not allowed?
Last time I checked, none of the civs were researching it, so I think/thought making FT a no,no tech would be fine. I'll make it researchable if I have to, but still...
Things are looking up - with all the graphics basically done and the tech tree done (so to speak). I think alpha 10 might be beta 1! (I do need to finally release this soon, before the 2008 election might make the premise obsolete! )

Future Tech must be researchable by all civs or the game will crash.

The more things change, the more they stay the same...
Well, the good news is that the "curse of June" (the scenario's habit of crashing in June 2013) seems to be lifted, as I was able to play past that turn.
The bad news: the game crashes anyway. This is the error message I got.

And I was thinking that alpha 10 could, in fact, be beta 1. I guess not...The Ghost of the Disco is ... your mastermind, your mastermind!

Alpha 10 is out!
With new graphics, revised events, and more.
Still not sure why the game is crashing. I'm wondering if maybe the "Chavistas invade Florida" event was one event too many, even though I don't get a "problem with the events file" message like I think I would in that situation.

If there are too many events, then the ones that go over the dotted line simply wont fire. That can't be what's causing the game to crash.Sea Kings TOT

RE:Scenario crashing. Honestly I don't know. I haven't been able to get though enough turns for the crash to happen to me. I do know that the events are not whats giving that problem though, my guess is that its something in the rules, but I couldn't tell you whatSea Kings TOT

I'm wondering if it's because I gave all the infantry and non-motorized artillery units a movement value of 1 1/3 (172 actually, but given the calculations.) Of course, I know of at least one scenario that also did that, but didn't crash (LOTOR); however, that scenario had all the units which had said fractional movement also had the "treat all movement as roads" thing.
Also, I'm wondering if I'll have to change the candidates soon if I don't want my scenario to go from "plausible future 2013" to "alternate history 2013" too soon. I know that'll probably happen anyway come the 2012 election season , but still...
Also, if it's not the events, then I'd really like to know why the game crashes when it does ("too many units" or something? I know in the SP event files, many units are spawned every turn...)
