To win, a player must reduce the global population to less than 2 billion, end and clean up pollution, reforest and stop global warming.

This would certainly make the ultimate bloodlust scen.
I kinda like that one. It's like Greenpeace, but with guns. Seriously though, give the polluting civ the ability to build cheap factories and no mass transit. Pretty soon those cities would be pumping out carbon like no tomorrow. Kill the cities, kill the pollution

I would like to do a remake of the American war of Independence from the classic scenario-disk.

I have a good map which includes the Eastern USA and Western Europe (Britain, France, Spain). I used this map for an unfiníshed US civilwar scenario.

The nations in the scenario would be the US, Britain, France, Spain, American Natives and eventually some pirates.

What i´m need for this scenario are units, cities and peoples.
The icons and terrain-graphics are already done.

I will post more in the next days...

You should also include the Dutch if you're including Europeans who sided with the Americans, like the French and Spanish.

The Charlemagne one suggested by Dr Kellogg would be very interesting!

Years ago I was brooding over a Carolingian Scenario starting at Karl Martell's Reign. As far as I remember, I first supposed the Franconians, the Sarazens the Byzantins, the Western Gotes, the Lombards+Bavarians and the Saxons. After then I had an idea to put some Germanic tribes together or let them follow each other (after Death of the Westgotian Kingdom the Saxons arise or whatever) and give a place to an absolutely (or nearly) non-military Church Civ (democracy or republic government, capital in Rome or independent from the pope), which holds a monopole on research and has to be protected by the Franconians. It would expand by founding monasteries in the eastern wilderness, converting barbarian tribes and is allied to every other Civ but the Sarazens (and Saxons?) of course. Another idea was a sub-franconian Civ, the marches, which Charlemagne founded along his borders. They can be ruled with more efficiency but have to carry the main military ballast.

I'm currently making ToT units for the AWI, along with earlier ones for the French-Indian Wars of the Seven Years War period. You're welcome to use them, but they're too large for the standard civ2 slot.

Yes of course, I would like to use your units.

Is it possible that you could make some good pirate units, I will include them into the scenario.
Also if it is possible that you include the main European Nations, like Spain, France and the Dutch?

I like the idea from Patine with the Dutch, I think they could be a great trade nation or something else (with much money)

With the pirates, they will be in the carribean sea, i thought about to give them in random turns money via events, like from holding up the spanish galeons.
So if you conquer a pirate city, you will earn much money.

I thought about using the hero-unit like Washington and Cornwallis in the classic scenario-disk. If they are dead, you can´t win the scenario.

And of course, it will be in TOT...

Spooky - a double posr 1 hour after the first!

@civ2 units: I'll post the units as soon as I have a useful number of them. The AWI will be tricky to model; the British tended to win pitched battles (with noteable exceptions like Saratoga and Yorktown) but lost the War through general mis-management and lack of a coherent strategy. Any thoughts how this might be simulated?

                          Maybe....

Thanks a lot guys. There's lots of good ideas, many of which I'd love to do. There seems to be lots of interest in dark ages themes (even Gaia might qualify). Charlemagne or post-Roman Britain are interesting. I may try one of them down the road (unless someone gets there first. )

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is an interesting idea. I've always wanted to do another fictional adventure scenario using ToT's multiple maps. Are there any Edgar Rice Burroughs fans here? I've got this Tarzan idea...

Anyway, given RL constraints, I need something relatively simple, so I think I'll check out the possibility of a Frederick the Great scenario. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again for all the great suggestions. Hopefully others will also be inspired to make a scenario using one of these ideas.

Sorry for the double post, it´s now the last time that i will post something double, i hope...
Maybe someone could cancel the double post.

I thoght about making a scenario where you have to build up your nation like a classic civ2 game with some historical facts like the capture of New York or Philadelphia by the British troops during the war. I think that could be managed by the events.

Also i thougt that the British will loose in random turns money. It could be the capture of a galeon by the pirates or the high costs of the war also managed by the events.

These are my ideas i hope i can realize them.
Maybe if someone has a good idea please let me know.

A gangsta scenario where the main power are the Normal Nations (boring) and where you play as bad guys in the world. You have few cities but you can take over other cities in a variety of ways, and each gangsta organization has a different strength and weakness, expressed in terms of their units and economic bonuses.

                              Gangsta tribes include:

Shadowlaw (Street Fighter II organization involved in drugs and nuclear materials, headed by M. Bison)
                              Hong Kong Tongs (Triads)
                              MS13 (Central/North American gang)
Cobra (G.I.Joe, vaguely desert-based paramilitary organization)
Carmen Sandiego (female gang leader who pops up from holding to holding even if defeated)
The Oilgarchs [misspelling intentional] (Eurasian based gang controlling oil interests with its own members as elected officials of oil-rich former Communist nations)
Virtucon (run by Dr. Evil, based in a Nevada underground lair - a city that is "removed" from the map by hex editing - as well as the Starbucks tower in Seattle)

                              And

The Normal Nations. These will be controlled by barbarians and they will mostly have trade units zooming around the map. Some cities will be set (by CityEdit) to producing nation-specific units (like you could make the Chinese cities produce JieFangJun and the American cities produce U.S. Marines) but that would be the only differentiation between them.

Does anyone know where I can find pics of flags of the following countries @ about 1750?

                                1. France
                                2. Prussia
                                3. Russia

Note: This was pre-tricolor for both France and Russia.
