Look, y'all are welcome here. Really, it's great to see new/returned faces. But this statement is also curiously incorrect. There were two on-going PBEMs, before you returned (though one needs players), one has been going on for YEARS. A third had been recently completed. And a fourth has been trying to get started. Perhaps not as vibrant as we'd like, but "died out" is a tad offensive.

Squonk, check out the Ancient Empires #2 thread, started by Peaster. We're playing Kull's Seeds of Greatness with the Barbarian Wrath variant, and have been able to get it to work, if we use a hotseat approach. We have five or six, so far, and we're playing a preliminary test game - very casual, but surprisingly quick - to confirm everything works, and to help iron out house rules. Ignore the comment in the Players Needed thread that implies games are all full - I'm not sure what that's about.

It's centered around your favorite part of the world, IIRC. You can be the Hittites, Minoans, or Assyrians (or possibly Greeks, but they're a bit challenged in the test game, so far).

I did by mean mean any offence, but I think it's an undisputed fact that two pbems alone, and only a handfull of players, doesn't actually paint the picture of a very active pbem community. The last time I played pbems at Apolyton there were 10+ active games.
