  • Help me find my missing .wavs....again!!

    Hi there,

this is a bit of a long shot because I haven't visited this forum for several years. Basically I am trying to find some .wav files that I created and posted in here some time ago. These sounds were a Stuka Dive Bomber (I think I posted as stuka.wav) and a V-1 rocket. I tried using the search function but it only goes back to early 2004. I think I posted them between Red Front 1.4 scenario and the creation of Second front scenario, whenever that was. They are in neither of these scenarios.

Perhaps they are in a more recent scenario? The Stuka .wav sounded particularly good because I recorded the sound from video (The Battle of Britain I think.) and fixed up using cool edit 95 (LOL, I'm getting old.)

I recognise some of the names that still post here such as St Leo and Techumseh but I posted so infrequently that I probably was only blip on the radar

Anyway, hello to anyone who remembers me. Hopefully someone can suggest where my sounds are 'cos I want to play Red Front again, but I reaaallly want my own Stuka .wav in it.

    Cheers

I've checked a few WWII scenarios such as the Blitzkrieg series and Gotterdamerung but it is not there either...

Have you tried Nemo's 2194 days for the Stuka SFX?

They're in the archives... The search doesn't seem to work properly though, I couldn't find any posts made by you, yet you definitely did post. Luckily I found them through a thread started by you... Your previous thread where you asked for them (and I also found them then).

        Don't lose them again!

Thanks Merc for finding this for me. This time I'll burn them to a DVD ROM and not keep them on a useless Floppy Disk that is so easily over written by careless people such as myself.

BTW, is there a scenario community for the latest version of CIV? I personaly haven't bought anything CIV related since CIV 2 MP Gold. I never really believed that creating scenarios would be viable with animated units and most of the important files encoded beyond alteration.

            Pah, what do I know?

            Cheers

Indeed - CIV4 is a decent game - But the beauty and simplicity of CIV2 has never been rivalled...

              Except by FreeCiv!
