Thanks, Curt! I may have to bug you for alien cities, units, and people, though, if that's alright. I have a decent idea what I imagine for that, but I'm still refining it. Of course, your own imagination always adds a great touch to such things!

Alright, I need some advice here. I'm debating the actual physiological nature of the aliens themselves. I was thinking maybe kind of reptilian, but 'V' and 'Worldwar,' not to mention others, already have such aliens. Mind, it's still not out of the running, I'm just looking for alternatives. Also, though I know the names and stats of the alien units (all Earth tag names, so players don't have to memorize tonnes of created language), what should be motiffs of their vehicles: i.e. rounded or sharp edges, predominant shapes and colors, etc? This will greatly help when I submit a units request to Curt when he's available next year, but also because I really haven't decided yet.

I would go for something alien like squids or tripods!
As for me doing units, for this scenario I am going to help you get things into working order before the GFX are considered.
The units are among the first thing you list and design, but the actual GFX are the last thing to worry about in the scenario.
I tend to make the tech tree first. I decide what factions are present, and then allocate them certain techs, such as those
techs that change city styles and isolate Gunpowder and Mobile Warfare. Nearer the xmas period, I would like to help you
construct the tech tree, unit hit/def and building lists. And the GFX can be decided upon once the framwwork is in place.
I am eager to help you create a good blueprint, and I would consider not using a massive giga map, as this can lead
to tons of AI problems. Giga maps are really only good for MP human games. Otherwise the AI creates tons of defunct
units that wander, and do not fight. I think a good sized world map like one of Jorrit's good be good. But that
choice is yours, Patine!
Right now I would like to offer my future services to you for scenario rules file design and development.
For the moment, chek out this really cool document from Koby about tech trees and design,
I recently found it very useful for when I was remaking the files for Dictator VI!

Wow, Kobayashi really put quite a bit of effort into that page. I'll do my part to honor his hard work by putting that page to good use myself for an upcomming project! All these years I had no idea Fusion power made ships move 25% faster... who knew?
As for this project Patrick I love the sound of the concept so far, I personally like the idea of a squid alien that Curt mentioned one post up from mine.
