  • Journey of our pilgrim Herreson

In case anyone's missed it, here's a thread of Herresson's tour of Syria. It's a beautiful and cultured place - not quite what I expected. http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...hreadid=145988

And our cultured and educated hero Heresson didn't forget to point to all the evildoings by "zionist aggressors"

But you're right, he does show a perspective I would not have expected

Nice images, interesting part of the planet...Tragic too.
We should respect that Herreson is entitled to his opinion.

Gives us Euros and Yanks a view of a world that we
only usually see through the eyes of BBC or CNN, etc.

I hope the Middle East gets sane sometime in the future.

He might be entitled to his opinion, but few people agree with such stark anti-Israel positioning. Putting the name of the country in quotation marks and referring to it by the "zionist threat" puts its right to existence into question. I certainly hold no respect for that kind of "opinion".

It's a bit late to complain, he made his opinion.
And we also respect your right to an opinion also.

I don't support any of the Middle East factions, but If Herreson
wishes to make comments on what he sees, then that is up to him.

I find the images more interesting than the prose anyway.

You posted a thread linking to something in OT

So if you want to debate Herreson's views, do it on the thread - in OT. I wanted to draw the SL communities attention to the travels of one of our members - that's all.

...which is what Off-Topic means. A thread in this forum can be Civ2-related or not. You decided to open an OT thread, so you have to live with OT posts in it

Keep the comments about Herreson's trip in the Off-Topic forum. I don't want any BS gumming up the Civ2 forums. Got it everyone?

We all have our own views, but fortunately for everyone's sanity we have an off-topic forum to discuss such views. Bringing a thread about a Civ2 modder's trip to those in the SL is fine, but discussing such trip is best left to the proper arena, namely the original thread. The SL forum is not about discussing opinion and views of any one member, it's about Civ.

So knock it off or I'll call on another moderator less congenial.
