Don't think so. I haven't heard from him in a couple of years. He had started a scenario on the Cuban Missile Crisis, but he didn't finish it AFAIK.

I suspect a little deliberate irony in Bostero's post.
Btw, how important are May 25th (National Day?) and July 9th (Independence Day?) for you guys in comparison to 29th June (1986, Argentina 3 - FRG 2)?

Eh, I don't know what you're talking about, but I'm guessing it's some World Cup final (the year matches, we won that one)
If so, I don't know of many people who actually remember the day of the match, whereas May 25th, which commemorates the setup of a local government loyal to the king of Spain, who had been deposed by Napoleon, and July 9, commemorating the actual independance proclamation, are holidays...Indifference is Bliss

Thanks again for the info on the book Boco but unfortunately you have to have made a purchase off of Amazon.com to view those pages free of charge, and I suppose I'm the only one left on the planet who has not dropped a dime at Amazon.com as of yet. Not to worry, I do still want to make these units but I'll probably end up just checking it out of the good old fashion library.
As for your comment on Confederate War Hawks who wanted to expand at Mexico's expense, that is in a way what happens in the "How Few Remain" timeline. Only instead of a military invasion which would have likely drawn the ire of the international community (the CSA was ultra sensitive about not appearing to start ANY conflict so they could better recruit allies such as France and Britain to they're cause) they made a legal purchase of Sonora and Tijuana from Emperor Maximillian who needed the cash for his bankrupted empire badly.

@N35t0r - you've shown that Argentina is not inhabited with football fanatics. It wouldn't shock me if Fairline is unusually well-acquainted with England's 1966 ride, featuring Charlesville, Grievous, and More.
@Sarsstock - seems Turtledove did his homework! Are there any uniforms that interest you in particular? I could start capturing images for a PM to you. Also most of the book can be seen via http://books.google.com (if you have a gmail account), but sadly the plates are restricted.

I'm a little late on my response here, given I'm the thread starter, but it looks like such a scen could take shape. As I'm currently working on three others at once, I couldn't take a crack at it right now, but I'm hoping to see if someone else does. Also, Chris, I'd love to see what sort of units you came up with for it! If it hasn't been done or announced later this year, I may take a whack at it. BTW, great info there, Boco! I'll have to check out this book you speak of.

Well I appreciate the offer Boco of making those screen captures. As for what uniforms in particular, I suppose for the French some nice officer uniforms, cavalry uniforms and artillery uniforms would be nice. For the Mexicans you'll have to use your better judgment on that since from what I understand there was no standard uniform used by the Mexicans at Pueblo. Try to scan the most unique and colourfull ones if possible, the ones that add a real 19th century mexican flare.
