Do you have a deadline on this one?
I'll be happy to furiously playtest it after the 10th of april.

Sure... Though, well, Catfish's simple method suddenly sounds awfully tempting.
Or, um, here are 2 good maps: http://www.nationalgeographic.com/ge...es/theback.jpg (orange marked area is empire, green areas are vassal states)
Your right about the horses - they should be shaggy ponies really, but I tend to re-use the horses I draw for other stuff.... (Boco will know the origin of the Mongol horse-archer mount )
You lazy bastard! Spending all your free time drawing great Civ2 units and not even bothering to get the horses right.
I've Sinicised (is that a word?) the generic units rather than Westernised them BTW.
Yeah that makes sense. I thought about that after I posted that.

I ended up converting this scenario a little over a month ago. Never got round to posting here, though. I multiplied the ratio of the total number of objectives in the converted scenario (174) to the total from the original (230) by the existing victory thresholds to produce the new ones. This gave me values of 150, 90, 60 and 45 (rounded). I use this method for scenarios with relatively large numbers of objective cities and/or where the original x3 objectives are evenly distributed across the map. Further refinement of these values really requires playtesting.
That's a good way as well; I'm in two minds now, so maybe I'll try both alternatives.
If there's one thing I can't stand, it's a scenario designer who keeps postponing release dates. Well, I spend a little time on EA this past weekend...
Don't worry, RL will be keeping me busy for a week or two as well.
