Yeah we were discussing business and I answered by saying I had problems squeezing in the golf let alone extra time for the range. Add to the fact that most ranges are really poorly marked for distance, they can be a real bad place to judge how far you can hit a club.

and yes my oh-so-superior-yadda-yadda allows me to play better with less practice

But really, traditionally the better I hit the ball on the range before a round the worse I hit it on the course, and visa versa. So I've always thought it was kind of silly to take the extra time to go to the range just to hope I hit the ball like crap there.

Still in Oz, following the yellow brick road. Consulting for some yankees who took over the local telecoms company, plus a couple little jobs on the side. Contract coming to an end though in May and I am negotiating with an engineering company at the moment to to take on a corporate restructuring contract. What about yourself, how are you handling the lifestyle now that you are out of the corporeate world...?

Just spending my days writing press releases, articles for trade journals, web content and the like. There's plenty of work out there -- so I guess my 20+ years in the pro audio industry were actually good for something. I'm acting as the marketing dept. for my anchor client, and that basically pays my bills. An assortment of other gigs augments that nicely.

So all is well.

Total income is lagging a bit behind the old gig, but it's catching up, and the freedom of working from a home office is awesome.
