Now people have a good choice between the two styles...Or even to mix them!

BTW - I f'ed up the files when first posted - they're fixed now.
Here's the units file for the MP version btw. (including a more distinct horse artillery).

As for the Waterloo scenario, I don't know anymore. I put a lot of energy into the Desert War scenario, but the reception was so lukewarm for the beta I doubt I will ever bother finishing it. Even less, start a new project...I think the 'Era of Eivind' is over

But I have some stuff on my computer if anyone else want to give the waterloo a shot.

Good work on the horse arty Eivind - I was too lazy to bother

I've noticed I've stuffed up again - the Dragoon Du Garde (which the rules say is Austrian) is event-generated for the French, so he has the wrong flag. I've never noticed before as I always play as the British. Can't be arsed to change him, so delete the flag if it bothers you.

BTW, I'm very interested in your Desert War scenario, but I wanted to get other commitments out of the way before playtesting it. I'm sure there are lot's of other takers, so don't give up on it just yet.

I know what your saying Case - it was a novel approach but I guess I struggled to differentiate between some of them. I think it would make a lot of sense for a tactical Napoleonic War scenario to have multi-units as well.

Just a personal preference I suppose at the end of the day.

Is that the same as "donkey shine"? I wish my best were half as good as your stuff-ups.

Well it's 'our feet are stained' for now.

                          Fairline,

Your project has my blessing - a lot of players request this, and now I can offer it as well. Sheer laziness was stopping me doing it myself... Post it around and advertise it as you see fit.

But for myself, I agree with Case - the multiunits give it a certain "feel" I like. You have to be quite at home with the scenario before you get over the confusion factor though, I agree.

And thanks for the words of support everyone. Much appreciated. Might even get me to do Boney III one day...but I have been saying THAT for nearly a year now...

boney III would be good... but weren't you working on a WWI project a while back John? I'd really like to see what you could do with the 'war to end all wars'.

Well, so would I! I have abandoned my attempt at an SP WW1 scenario - the AI just can't play well enough.

But as an MP game, my "Western Front" scenario (unreleased) has promise. It will be a bit attritional, but then so was WW1.

I have not abandoned it yet, either....

Exactly right. IMO, your units in this thread are the nicest Napoleonic era units yet released. The Boney graphics just work really well in their context.

You mean, the AI is even dumber than the WW1 era generals?
