  • New ToT Conversions Uploaded!

Two new scenarios from the ToT Scenario Conversion Project have been uploaded. They are Paul Cullivan's Ancient Empires 3500bc - Seeds of Greatness and Carl Fritz's Brown Man's Burden. Thanks to Sarrstock for his work on the BMB graphics. Thanks also to Fairline, Curt Sibling, Catfish and Bebro for the art. And to Alex Woehr for doing the actual conversions. Enjoy! http://www.tecumseh.150m.com/Convers...nversions.html

    • Here's the first of three screenies from Brown Man's Burden. This is south of the Great Rift Valley area.

The graphics were done or assembled by Sarrstock - fabulous job, Chris.

          • I agree about the Spanish city style needing to be whiter... I'll post the corrected version when I post the French, English and Dutch styles along with them once they're completed.

Awsome job on the screenies btw Tech!!

If those rivers were replaced with these ones by catfish, then it would add an wonderful final touch!

OK Eivind - I'll post them in a separate thread to avoid confusion with the ToT stuff here.

                    • Great cities there, Saarstock.

I see you've dropped the water well curt uses. Maybe it would be an idea to use it to make your cities consistant with his? Or curt redrawing all of his without the water wells!

                      • Well with the reduced city size graphics the well itself is only visable in the largest of the cities. Still, for the sake of city graphic consistancy it might be a good idea to hold onto the well.

I'll post it when I have the other "Pitt's War at Sea" city styles completed to showcase.

                        • Been looking at the reduxes of these scenarios...These are works of art for sure!

And even better, they are built upon scenarios that are pure gameplay gold!

There should be an announcement on the CIV2 poly page about this great coup!

                          • I couldn't agree more Curt. Though if you ask me "Dalek Tyrany" is still the most eagerly anticipated project of the year.

I have to say though I've hit a snag with the French, Dutch and British Caribean reduced size city styles to go along with the Spanish style. Basically..... how would those styles be different in the Carribean from the Spanish style? Can anyone out there in Apolyton land think of maybe a difference in colour buildings, roofs, church styles or anything that could make a city style distinctive?

Any help at all would be most welcome.

                            • Cheers, Sarsstock,
I hope to make the scen match your expectations!

                              PS
I'm enjoying a killer game of 'Seeds of Greatness' as the Egyptians...

It is a wonderful scen, though I noticed the city improvement icons were
not matched to the ToT format...So, I have a fixed version here...!

Now the improvement art should match up correctly.

                              • I'm curious what the forum thinks of this question.... what stance is better for infantry units of the Seven Years War era to have? The musket parallel to the ground or raised at a 30 degree angle? It doesn't really matter either way, but I think I've noticed units that represent infantry typically have raised weapons only in more recent era's of warfare. Where as units such as in Gareth's update of "Bonaparte" use muskets parallel to the ground.

I'm just curious what with the updating of "Pitt's War at Sea" I'm currently working on.
