I'm really sorry I haven't been able to help out with the city style you requested Gareth. I appreciate the work you've helped me with and I still plan on taking a crack at it once things calm down on my side of the pond and I get some real time to work on them.

Cheers, folks! The Babylon set is shaping up nicely too!

I would love to see a new series of Ancient world scenarios...!
Especially from our resident scenario aces here in SL!

And the prospect of some fairline-created ToT cities is top notch!

Curt ... you´re dead right about that fairline-prospect

Let me say that your cities rock nonetheless

There are a few outstanding bits in order to get AE3500bc and Justinian the Great ready to put up. For AE3500bc, I need an Egyptian style city from Curt, and a XL compatible bat. file from Boco. For Justinian, I need compatible city styles for Byzantine/Roman, Persian, Tribal (Franks, Goths, Vandals) and Hun, from Sarsstock and Fairline.

Sarsstock, how is Brown Man's Burden coming?

I was actually just going to send you a PM about the progress. The Units are done, the Icons are done, the Cities are done, the Units are done and the Terrain is done. I just have to finish the Title and the People graphics and I'll send you the files, I also have to tell you about a gameplay bug I noticed in playtesting.

Indeed Eivind, it seems the definition of a great modern city style has been bumped up a notch. I'm almost tempted to redo the cities I had designed for BMB to take advantage of Curt's new style but since I believe time is a factor here I probally won't.

Well Techumseh when all is said and done with BMB I'd love to help out with another project update, like First World War or Great Game perhaps. I already have a large cache of units and graphics from that time period on hand.

I'm curious Gareth about this new Byzantine city style your interested in. Would you want it done in Curt's earlier city style with the larger buildings featured or something along the lines of his newest style will the smaller buildings?

                          Just a curious inquiry...

I suppose i could convert some scenarios and mods,
                            i'm thinking
THE BATTLE FOR THE ALPHA QUADRANT by kobayashi
Star Trek Universe Modpack v1.0 by Paul Heron
                            Fascist Varient 4.3 by Steven A Strayer & S1.Genocide

i have more than enough star trek units for the first two,
and there should be enough units around for the facist variant,
I am not delusional! Now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna go dance with the purple wombat who's playing show-tunes in my coffee cup!
Rules are like Egg's. They're fun when thrown out the window!
Difference is irrelevant when dosage is higher than recommended!

Steve Strayer is still active in the Pacific General community. You can reach him via a link at The Pacific General Armory . He's kinda proud of his Fascist Variant, so it'd be good form to ask him for permission.

Well in any case, with the BMB update complete I am officially free to take on any project the forum see's fit. I wonder if maybe somebody could persuade Steph to aprove an updating of his "Blood and Steel" or "Highway to Hell". Perhaps Pablo could give the go ahead for an update "Spanish Civil War", or if we wanted to go real old school we could perform an update of Nemo's "American Civil War".
