I must say that this is starting to look like a fun OT thread which is going nowhere fast but has lots of clever repartee, hair splitting and bon mots.
The reason that I've kept pushing the issue of post counts is that I was taught that promises made must be promises kept unless it is absolutely impossible to do so. I suppose that was pretty naive of my parents and teachers.

I don't see what the harm is if afew honest posters want to share they're opinions on some forum managment issues. I don't consider that whinging at all .
If this particular thread does indeed speak for the majority of forum members then I'm confident it will stay a thread of much discussion. If it doesn't speak for the forum, then I'm just as confident it will fall out of memory and be forgotten.
