No, not really. I wasn't originally planning to make any program at all. But after Cyrion's post stating that he was write down some ideas for getting the tree thing to work, I got a little distracted working out an algorithm myself. It started out as a simple text document in Notepad, then I started using some pseudo-Perl code (I'm using Perl a lot, so that's why) and then it turned into an actual program.
Perl isn't too good for compiled programs though, so a VB version of it would probably work better, not to mention look nicer. It'll probably be a bit more cumbersome to write though. I'm not sure if I will. I shouldn't really have the time.
I'm not sure if it would work well being called from another program, but you could try.
I could send you the source code if you want, if you're familiar with Perl, or just familiar enough with programming languages to understand what's going on. It's rather small, and commented.
