  • Looking for some map(s)

Hullo there ... I was wondering if someone out there would have some map(s) of Italy and parts of the Dalmatian coastline?

I attached a puny pic of the lands that should be on that map below!

    Thanks in advance

Pyrros It is said that his name was given to him due to his somewhat red hair (pyr= fire in greek)

        other info:

-"greek fire" is originally: "hygro pyr" (which means liquid fire)

        -"pyrric victory": "pyrrios nike"

Well, I know my map of Italy covers just about exactly that area... It might be a bit too small for you though.

          map is here:

                  No sure, go right ahead.

@ Jorrit: Thanks you, sir! I´ll give it a crack then - maybe I can surpass myself

@ Gareth: I am writing my diploma thesis (I aim to graduate come spring) which is set in the 15th century. You could *possibly* expect something along these lines I confess

It´s not more than some idea now ... I was contemplating something along these lines: 5 playable civs - Venice, Naples, the Papacy, Milan & Florence - starting date somewhen in the early 15th century with a definitive end of the partey in 1494/95 with the Froggie Invasion of Italy ...

I have one that covers your area - pretty good size too - but also includes all of Greece and the Ionian coast. Still, you could use one of Mercator's tools to trim it down to size. It was used in my Odyssey scenario so - almost by definition - the vast majority of the map has never seen the light of day.

From what I understand of that Civ game of yours, it's all about launching one's own spaceship before the others do. So this is no big news after all: my father just beat you all to the stars once more. - Philippe Baise
