techumseh, you're certainly right abou the lack of Steampunk HG Wellsish/Jules Vernish games... only Sarsstock's covers that territory...

Cyberpunk is slightly better covered, though I can't recall the names of the scenarios- I remember one or two that touched on it which were in the first Hodadian Award Center competition.

I would think that a scenario covering either of those categories would be amazing... I'd certainly be ready to give ideas and links usable for the composition of either as I'm quite interested in both genres.

On a related issue- has anyone here ever tried to catalogue all the scenarios by year- much as the original Scenario League site was organized- but covering all the scenarios available on the web (possibly with links?)

A new native American scenario would be great.

The wars of south america have been poorly represented. I know there is one scenerio out there about the struggle for independence, as well as one on the Paraguayan war of the 1880's. BUt I have seen none about the Pacific War (Peru and Bolivia vs Chile) nor the Chaco war (Bolivia vs Paraguay), or Peru's annexation of half of Equador in 1941.

Ditto for Mexico. A scenerio about the Mexican civil war beginning in 1911 (with American intervension and all) would be interesting, or one about the Sandinistas coming to power, or the Cuban revolution.

I agree about Mexico. I've always wanted to do a scenario about Louis-Napoleons's Mexican adventure. The Mexican-American War would be interesting as well.

AFAIK, there are a couple of scenarios about Cuba out there - both the Spanish-American War and the Revolution, I think. Also a couple on Bolivar and the South American Revolutionary Wars.

I dunno, stealing Aboriginee's land and shooting kangaroos doesn't sound that interesting. The Maori wars might be more fun.

what about a greek revolution (1821) scen?
I am currently making some units for it (they are in the pre-steam units forums).

i actually have made a greek revo scen, but it was rather horrible

Can anyone recommend any Indian history scenarios?
Preferably before the arrival of the British, but I'd be happy with up until that point.

There aren't that many good ones for the present day, and those that are made often focus on global geopolitics rather than a specific conflict.

Isn't that the subject of the current scenario design contest (if that's still running)?

I made one a long time ago, "The Mughal Conquests", which you can find at the Spanish Civilization Site. I think there is another one dealing with a previous time frame there too.

Admittedly, mine is quite dated, and I'm looking forward to seeing this contests results.

Is there any scenarios about the Boxer Rebellion/War of 1899-1900?
or the balkan wars of 1912-13?

How do you represent a one sided land-grab in Civ?

While there was intense fighting in some parts of Australia (in paricular western Queensland), in general the Aboriginal population was wiped out by disease with the survivors being shifted into the most marginal land.
