I am not delusional! Now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna go dance with the purple wombat who's playing show-tunes in my coffee cup!

I'll set up a SL convention fund for those who can't afford to travel! PM me, and I'll give you the address.

If we set it for Amsterdam in the 1st week of August, 2006, how many could possibly participate?

I'd say setting a certain date and time for an SL chat is a more realistic idea.

Though I like that idea very much myself I think I have some input that might be of interest ...

As Eivind stated before, we once tried something like a meeting over at CDG - which resulted in me meeting with two other Civ2 addicts in Barcelona, when I was in Finland last summer I met another one.

I guess it would work here too if the place would be know well ahead of the meeting time. Your suggestion sounds good, Brian, I do think it would be possible. I for one would sign up now but since I graduate come February/March I do not know yet what job I will have then - and what kind of vacaction times I would get.

About that chat idea: We also had such a chat over at CDG for some time, one hour a week on a Sunday evening. It died, however, when the main force behind it decided it would be the same like - say - a MSN conversation since it was only the two of us most of the time.

Concluding I do think some kind of a meeting would be great, I would like to come - though I could not possibly sign up definitely before come spring

I'm not much interested in a chat, I'd prefer a face to face, even with a few SLers. I know it's a stretch for those in North Am, even tougher for those in Australia and Asia. I'm due for a European trip sooner or later, so next summer would work for me. Amsterdam, because it is hopefully convenient for both Brits and Continentals. Plus it's lots of fun!

You´re right about that, Brian. If you come to Amsterdam I will try to be there too - given the facts mentioned above

                    Just kidding...

I can' plan that far ahead, but when this is topical, I'll check if I should happen to be in the neighbourhood...

We could all volunteer for the US Army and meet up in Baghdad!

Don't they have a maximum IQ limit for entry?

@Tech: Amsterdam is a great choice, for all the wrong reasons

Relaxed atmosphere, beautiful city, spliff and, er, Amstel beer. It helps if you only eat cheese, eggs and ham as well..

That is about as close to Greece as I will get this year!
