You're missing the point, Merc. They've told us the threads COULD be restored and WOULD be. But according to my count, they've missed 3 deadlines so far.
Sure, Apolyton is a labour of love for the site owners, but so is designing scenarios, creating unit art, and exploring the intricate details of this game and so on, for the rest of us. Much of our work was stored on the SL threads that were deleted.
Thanks for the explanation for what happened - it's the most specific rationale I can recall being provided. It's interesting that it comes from you, not those who were directly responsible, and 3 months after the fact.
Speaking only for myself, I don't think we've been treated very well.
