Well Curt I'm glad to hear that the AI is behaving more aggressively now and that the new map is working out so well. Perhaps in the mean time until the big release you can tide us over with a screenshot or two? Perhaps of the carnage of the U-Boat war in the North Atlantic or the intense fighting on the South Pacific?

Curt the screenies are just great, and I can honestly say that Spitfire featured South South West of Tobruk is the best looking Spitfire I have ever seen to date!! I'm sure the rest of the units, icons, and everything else will look just fantastic as well.
When does the game start exactly? Will it be in December 1941 or well before that as in your other Dictator games?

Curt is of course too modest - the top screenie show's my units, the lower one showing the Japanese invasion fleet is entirely made up of Curt's graphics.

Well you both have certainly contributed yet another great chapter to Civilization II's legacy. A legacy that will soon enter its second decade, not bad for any game as far as I'm concerned.
Whats interesting about the start date of June 1940 is that it gives Germany the chance to push Britain out of the war with a successful Operation Sealion campaign. Also, it gives Japan the option of considering waging war with the Soviets in Siberia rather than with the US and Britain in the South Pacific. That is if Japan is the human player.

@fairline:
Ahh! You are too kind, guvnor - Of course, your work was the inspiration and root!
@Sarsstock:
You have guessed correctly, sir!
It is possible to cripple the UK before 1941, if the player goes for all out attack.
Getting enough units to England and surviving there may be the tricky part!
It took the German AI till 1945 to crack the UK, and that
was only under intense V2 and bismarck-class warship attacks!
The Japanese have two fun-filled avenues to a full-on war with the USSR.
Staying out of the Pacific war and aiming West will lead to a fist-fight with Stalin.
If the Germans take Moscow, Tojo may get confident also...

Yes I see what you mean Curt. Assuming that Britain can be knocked out of the war by the late fall of 1940 then a joint German/Japanese invasion of the Soviet Union in the summer of '41 might be a wise course of action, if you are either the German or Japanese player that is.
Speaking of which, with the added capacity of the ToT unit graphic I can't wait to see what units you include. I assume the German Amerika bomber will be included, as well as possibly jet propelled aircraft for the US, Britain and Germany. Japan too perhaps?

CS is on a roll, first the Bitterfrost release and now Dictator for ToT as well. keep 'em coming I say.Last edited by CapTVK; May 17, 2005, 17:41.Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

Curt,
I had a blast playing the last Dictator, this one looks really well thought out and I like the political options to take the war in a different direction. The graphics are
Looks like a potential 4 star rating soon to be released.You have made peace with the evil Wheredehekowi tribe-we demand you tell us if they are a tribe that is playing this scenario.
We also agree not to crush you, if you teach us the tech of warp drive and mental telepathy and give 10 trinkets
