Ripped off from "Uncle Twitchy"'s "Starfleet Adventures" total conversion Escape Velocity: Nova plug-in, here's some Star Trek ships:

Row 1: Constitution, Constitution refit, Excelsior, Ambassador
Row 2: Romulan Bird of Prey (TOS), Klingon D-7, Klingon K'vort BoP, Klingon K'vort Bop (lightened)

I always thought the Excelsior class was the best design Starfleet came up with, and that the Klingons never came close to making a cooler looking warship than the D-7.

Well I've got to hand it to you Ghost, one of the biggest marks of a good unit designer is originality and those might be the most original units I've seen this year (the rescue rangers I mean). I'm surprised how well they converted to MGE format.

Well, the biggest help for me was the fact that I had some high-quality black-and-white CDRR pictures from a old presskit someone uploaded. As for the MGE colors, here's the process I did:
1) Color them according to the canonical colors
2) Place them through "the ringer" (A Photoshop file consisting of the MGE colors. Given the file of the format, it ensues that anything pasted into that file will not have any colors that are not in the MGE format.)
3) Paste the MGE-ized file into a separate file or Photoshop layer (in the original document, not the "ringer" file.) The colors will usually be all messed-up, with numerous different colored dots. From these, find the MGE-friendly colors closest to the canon ones.
4) Use the paint tool to recolor the canonically colored pic with the said closes MGe colors.

Then there's the fact that I have a layer of the B & W picture, which I merge with the colored pic, and the resizing, and...

(I wonder how you think they turned out... O'Neill and Teal'c seem to have came out best, with Daneil behind, and Sam the worst (maybe because I wasn't using a female body figure...)
