      • Trek Units

The first row are kitbashes derived from a set of ships labeled "Anarchywrsbest" I made the bashes when I was making pre tng more prominent in the game. And i cant remember where exactly I got the original file. Probably here. The second row units are pulled from 3-D renders.

        • Star Wars units for ToT. It's a png, so treat it as a preview only - useable units are in the zip below.

The bottom row are Clone blokeys copied from pics I found on the net; I've no idea what the significance of the colours and uniforms is - can any SW geeks enlighten me?

            • Holy Sid Meier Gareth those Star Wars units are damn near incredibly amazing!!! The detail in the shading of that X-Wing Fighter is just..... I don't think I've ever seen shading work that good before in any unit compilation.

What brought this little early Xmas gift on Gareth? You numbered the Zip file as "sw1", does this mean there will be more sw unit compilations?

                • A unit compilation like this would be perfect for a small scale battle scenario, essentially the Star Wars universe equivilant of rmsharpe's "Malta".

Perhaps somewhere in the Outer Rim the Empire launches an assault on a Rebel outpost, or vice versa.

                    • I'd lend a hand for Hoth if your serious about it HT!! Of course you'd also have to include the T-47 snowspeeer along with those gosh darn loveable AT-AT Walkers.....

..... if only that were possible .

I might even make my Imperial Governor scenario now!

                            • Thanks all. Kinda childish to be drawing this stuff, but I was a young kid when SW came out, so it still holds a certain magic

@Sarrsstock: Two reasons: I wanted to play Kobi's SW insurrection, so there will probably be many more units to follow, and I had this hair-brained idea of making a scenario based on the original film; ToT, multi-map and quest/hero character-based rather than traditional civ empire-building, a la FavFlight's superb Lord of the Rings scenarios.

I was imagining a map with the interior of Princess Leia's spaceship as the start point. Stormtroopers invade, the player has Carrie and a handful of Rebel troopers to defend against the odds, but the main goal is to get the droids into an escape pod and into the first map transit point. This would lead to a space map with the planets Tatooine and Yavin at different ends together with Death star; Tatooine would be another map portal to the third map, this one being the surface of Tatooine with Mos Eisley, kenobi and Luke's home etc. The player would collect Luke, Obi-Wan, Han, Chewie etc along the way while battling Sand People and bounty hunters, and then leave Tatooine via another map portal back to the space map. The next map portal leads to a Death Star interior map....etc etc.

Garbled rubbish that I'll never attempt to undertake

                              • Kitbash

Well, I was trying to make a klingon ship that was futurey. But there are no reference points for future klingon designs. The Negh'Var became a DS9-contemporary ship, and was totally smeared by that three-nacelled Enterprise, so it was obviously either obsolete or severly outclassed. So I became angry. Then neurotic, psychotic, homocidal, suicidal, computercidal. So then I started kitbashing the hell out of a few klingon ships, until they were entirely unrecognizeable. So I present a few versions of some futurey klingon ships (they could probably be used for other things as well).
