Looking at our_man's "How Few Remain," I decided to revise (again) his Canadian Mountie:

Playing How Few Remain the other day, I thought it was bland that once you got the Maxim guns, you no longer needed your flavorful infantry units for garrison and defense. So, I thought, "what if the scenario had a different Maxim unit for each civ? There's certainly enough unit slots." I'd modify the scenario if I know our_man was OK with it, but anyhow here's the MGs plus an industrial-era Mexican soldier (from one of curt or typhoon's units a long time agoThe Ghost of the Disco is ... your mastermind, your mastermind!

Nice units GoD!
Would it be possible for people not to post bitmaps directly into the threads but include them in a zip or rar file and post png previews instead?
The reason I ask is that it makes the pages load up really slowly for people with slower (dialup etc...) connections. I have never had any problems personally but Catfish pointed it out to me at CFC. He has posted there about a way to convert bitmaps into png files without any loss of quality which would eliminate the need for a zipped file. I'm sure if you asked him he would be happy to explain how or refer you to the posts where he has already explained it.
This is just a suggestion not a rule

Here's a WWI American infantryman from Harry Turtledove's "How Few Remain" timeline.
Admittedly, I've never read the books, but according to Wikipedia the US uniforms of the time were much like the Germans', only green-grey instead of feldgrau (I think), so I used the 1914 German uniform as a reference. The white stripe on the pants is based on the US Army's 19th century (and maybe later) practice of giving a white stripe to the infantry, yellow to the cavalry and red to the artillery.
Due to the considerations McMonkey brought up, the BMP file has been zipped.Attached FilesThe Ghost of the Disco is ... your mastermind, your mastermind!
