varwnos: I like it! One thing, maybe the sabre curves too drastically near the end of it? I think the shading is good, though you can never have too much of it

        ty Anzac

i made two versions of Ypsilante:
the first isnt historical, it has the "laura" land greek flag (it looked like the flag finland has now). But at least it is more clear what its emblem is.
The second is again an attempt to make the flag in the painting, which i am not familiar with, and was probably just used locally in the rebellion in the moldavian hegemonies.

And although i do not want to take over the thread (where are all of the other creators? ) here is a last update: the same units + an ottoman bey and the "philhellene" unit

the philhellene is supposed to look like a french author, for example victor hugo.

the good thing about the philhellene unit is that it is usable in many scenarios and not at all strictly at a greek revolution scen, which anyway i guess wont be made...

i will have to try hard to top the sheer decadence of this unit:

            this is a "zorba"

zorba is just a name, it doesnt mean anything, but i named it this because it is doing its little dance. I personally absolutely detest this stereotype of Greece, but the unit can be used as a happy revolter (and hopefully be put to the sword)

you can check the painting here: (the pic doesnt automatically show when linked unfortunately) : http://members.fortunecity.com/fstav...1/alipasha.jpg

Miaoulis (he was one of the main heros, and a sort of admiral, although the greek fleet wasnt exactly on par with the brittish empire at the time!)

Say, Gareth (you being Welsh and all) where do you keep those tatooed & blue-painted British Celts?
Better still, that scantily dressed Boudicca, charging on her British chariot?
I am sure you keep these somewhere

Oh i still have those in my HD. Even though i lost that Roman scenario files i've managed to save every gfx that the Englishwannabe created for my scen. I even have the reworked versions. Will post them sometime soon as i am currently in Epirus recruiting militiamen.
