Well thank you Jimmy, Erika, Curt and Harry. I'm glad to know you guys think I'm on the right track as far as city designs go. Also Jimmy, a week ago I had never touched a city graphic in ToT format before either. Its honestly not as hard as I thought it was after reading Curt's directions and tips. I mean, if anything the ToT pallet is EASIER to work with than the MGE pallet, as you don't have to worry about colour compatibilities and such.
We're at the dawning of a renaissance in the Civ II world my friends.... gone are the days of the designs and graphics confined to an ancient colour pallet. I predicted once that last year would be the best year for Civilization II graphics to date (Steph will confirm this ) and I think I was right. This year however..... I predict we will make more progress in the design of units, cities, icons, terrains and such in six months than we have in the last six years.
For we have only just begun to understand the true potential of Test of Time.

Fantastic city gfx Sarsstock
Would you mind resending your question about the units BTW? I saved the units file then stupidly deleted the e-mail by mistake.

The dawn of a Civ city renaissance? Indeed we are.
Amazing how some fields can lay dormant for years and suddenly spring back into life. But as long as there's a solid foundation to build on anything can happen.Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

The basic tips Curt gave me should still be on the non-units graphics thread where he started posting the new cities not too long ago.
Here's the exact link to the page where he posted the answer, its just a little above halfway down the page.

Well rest assured the project is moving along, allbeit much slower than I would have liked it. Right now I am entering the early stages of the tech tree design and after that I will begin what will surely be the greatest challenge of this insane project, the events.txt.
Until there is more to update you guys on please enjoy this small sample of shields that will be used in the project.
Curt: Any news Curt on that Nautilus you said you'd take a crack at a little while back?
