Well, jimmy-
First and foremost you are uploading your pictures in .bmp file. While Poly allows this to be done, it will not display the picture for some reason. However, if you post in .gif format, it will appear as a preview. What you need to do (if you haven't already) is a graphics programme (we use Jasc PSP around here mostly) which can load palettes. Load the default Civ2 palette and save as .gif. When uploaded, it shoud be visible.
I've attached a palette in Microsoft format if you need one. PSP can recognise them as well.
Alternatively, you could use a free image hosting site (such as this one) to host your images.
Hope this helps.

So if I have more than one file on my computer that I want to show and I don't want to post once for each file, then I need to upload the images onto a hosting site and then link them to here. Is that right?
Actually I should have no problem posting multiple times since I am only at "Prince". I think I have some catching up to do."I would rather have a German division in front of me than a French one behind me." -- General George S. Patton

You don't need an image hosting site. You can use your own upload space on 'poly. Unless you think you will exceed the 58MB you got here. but that's probably more than most image hosting services anyway:

Oh wait... Were you actually having problems getting the images in your upload space to display?
In that case, have a look at this:
And this is the code you need to use:
<img src="http://apolyton.net/upload/view.php?file=859_persia.gif" alt="">
Replace the URL with the URL of one of your own images. Put a short description in between the alt double quotes too, if you want.
