  • Is there by any chance a way to determine the Barbarian city style?

I need to know that so: C'mon, you mighty SL wizards, help me out of my misery!

    Thank you in advance

As far as I know, barbarian cities are always Ancient/Classical (or whatever's put in that slot). I think it's wired in, as I've found or seen no way to change that (I've tried). Just choose the style you want barbarians to have, and put it in the Ancient/Classical slot.

I thought so too. Funny thing is in a scen I am creating at the moment I did exactly this - and the Barbs have the Medieval city style :dknow:

      Any other ideas?

        Technology will influence it.

See Keenan's ToT Advance Properties. IIRC, these 3 techs have the same effect in MGE.

I've had the same problem when creating steph. It's not always the same, and they never have the industrial or modern style. Anyways, I haven't found any solution, sorry.

They use the same city style as the Romans.

Mmmm, not too good news ... will it work if I give the civ in the Roman slot the Industrialisation tech?

Yes, I think so, if I understand what you mean.

As Arthedain said, the barbarians never use the industrial or modern style. They only use whichever city style you gave the Romans in your rules.txt. Or after you've started probably the style that's been saved in the savegame itself.
