The Canadian units will be under American control. The Canadian controlled cities will be in the game to take up the prime land from the map to discourage any player from starting American cities in Canada. If anything, the Canadian cities will serve as a steady stream of revenue for the Americans.

As long as Dubya ain't Prez, I think that us Canucks would be real happy serving under Yank control. We dun it before on sevrul occashuns in the past.

With Dubya runnin things. . . . . Sieg Heil!

Now, now - Let's not drag that nasty 'real world' in here!

Just leave the Dub-meister a bowl of pretzels and let him get back to his sedgeway!

Sorry, got a bit carried away there.

Besides which, I wasn't nearly as funny, or as subtle, as you.

Subtle shouldn't come into it. String the fecker up and leave the rest of the world in peace.

Ahem, yours truly is a jackbooted Republican.

ANYWAYS.... I'll try and make some progress on this tomorrow night. Work's been a pain in the rear with tax plannning this week so I haven't been able to found all the cities yet.

Sorry for that Harry I'd had a few pints when I posted last night - no excuse for thread-jacking or airing my dodgy left-wing politics. I'll make amends by polishing your jackboots

Have you ever played PGII? There were a couple of scenarios in the German campaign which focused on a conjectured invasion of the US in '45. The speculation was that the Germans landed in Savannah and then worked their way to Oak Ridge to deal with the Atomic bomb threat. Worth a look for ideas if you have this game.

                    • PGII? I remember that scenario. It was the only the time the Graf Zeppelin Aircraft carrier appeared in the game. In the original PG I you could also play a full invasion "drive-for-washington" type scenario. But that's enough gametrivia for today.
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

                      • I recall that one!
Back when good PC games dared to challenge Political Correctness!

It was Rommel in charge during that 'what-if' campaign, which makes you
think the war must have went 'very' differently back in Europe!

                        • Truley a game ahead of its time Panzer General II was!! I remember the Savanah campaign well. Didn't they imply in the game that your invasion of Savanah was to create a "Southern Front" against America in addition to a "Northern Front" somewhere in the North East?

                            • Exactly, why bother creating an amry Harry? Just give Bruce Willis a submachine gun and I'm sure he'll work everything out just fine in time for Christmas.

Seriously though, will the Reaper appear as a special "super" unit for Germany like in the first Atomic Eagle or would that cause too many problems with the AI having to control him? Maybe he could appear as a non-moving unit with no attack value, and if the American forces destroy him they get a huge cash bonus resulting from the rise in moral they'd get for killing the German invasion commander.

Hey whatever, I work for a bunch of Democrats and have wonderful political discussions with my tax partner, so believe me I can take some criticism.

As for the march up through Savannah, I feel think that the area would be to well defended and open to reinforcement from the Northeast. Also, as the ending of AEI went, Oak Ridge has already been pretty well beaten up when the Nazis attacked. I don't think the Americans would make the same mistake twice and rebuild. I think I remember that a seperate facility was being built in Washington state at the same time....

I think I may have a second front open up, but I just have to pinpoint where I could do it...
