I second Curt's suggestion as well.
A "Red Front" type scenario is always fun.
Trying to defend against blistering Axis attacks on American soil would be interesting.
Without making it overly complicated, you could also include random scenario selection as well, as this would always keep the player on his toes - ie he would never really know where the attacks would come from when he starts the scenario each time. . .
