      Sacramento's there too

I'm surprised no one else has said anything. I think it's very well done. Perhaps you're right that it's too easy, I don't have any suggestions for that other than maybe making US units more expensive than CS ones, and probably giving the Rebs Sun--tzu (As the Virginia Military Institute), so that they promote faster, which would make pretty good sense.

Do you plan on updating this more? I think you said in the other thread you were burnt out from it.

For the events, I'd definitely suggest giving messages when the 4 leader units die (also you could maybe give General Gordon to the Brits, he didn't fare well in the book, but he had a reputation). Maybe some messages for the first time a Gatling wins in battle, and perhaps some bonuses when major cities are captured?

Maybe I have some more suggestions too, I'll keep playing

        Thanks for the comments guys.

Yes, there was a serious case of burnout towards the end of this one; I think the fact that I took such a long break during it's creation meant that I was never really able to get back into designing it.

I really hope to summon the enthusiasm to revisit this sometime in the future and make it even better, so keep any suggestions coming.

JamesJKirk, having Gordon as a hero unit is a brilliant idea! I can't believe I didn't think of it.

With regard to the gatling gun, there is in fact a pop-up when it is researched (therefore it will only be seen when playing as the Confederates).

Finally! I was really expectant about this scenario.

As soon as I finish my exams, I'll take a look at it... and of course, I'd like to upload it to the SCS

Has anyone else had any problems? I can't even play the scenario. It crashes at the title screen.

What version of civ are you using? Have you tried deleting the title and then loading the scenario?

                  I just LOVE this scen!

Playing it brought me an idea. Why not create a scenario like this where your civilization can evolve to the modern days?

First chance I've had to look at the final HFR scen. I think the changes you've made are excellent. Nice historical touch with the partially built transcontinental RR's heading towards a meeting at Provo. The map is still super and the villages (huts) will not be missed.

Congrats on a very fine piece of work.

Sorry for the delay in replying guys, but I've been kept pretty busy over in Florida.

Jasev, feel free to upload this scenario to the SCS.

Jimmy, I'm afraid I can't do much to correct any problems you might be having at the moment (my copy of Civ is several thousand miles away), but let me know if you've managed to get it working.

AGRICOLA, this scenario wouldn't be what it is if it weren't for playtesters like yourself!

Please check your PM. Some idiot has posted on my Bermuda Triangle thread at CFC/civ2/General Discussions something to the effect that you have taken credit for his work.

                              You're in Glasgow too Curt?

I'm probably going to be spending the next five years here; I'm "studying" medicine at the University of Glasgow (the best medical school in the UK according to the Times) but I seem to spend more of my time sleeping off hangovers than sitting in lectures.

I've only been here a month but I'm loving it. Nights of debauchery at The Shack and The Garage, taking in a movie on the top floor of the world's tallest cinema, Scottish girls... the list goes on; Glasgow has it all!
