  • Does "Best of Infogames" version have movies?

Just noticed a "Best of Infogames" version of Civilisation 2 in my local supermarket for a budget price. Years ago, I played Civ2 a lot with my older son's copy, but when I bought a "Test of Time" version some time back it did not have some of the "chrome" I enjoyed so much - the movies of the advisors ("No complaints, noble leader!") and also I found the graphics fuzzy and worse than my son's original version. I wonder, does the Best of Infogames have the movies of the advisors and the older graphics? I am wondering if they got dropped as they were too big to fit on one CD, in which case a budget version may lack them too.
    Thanks for any advice!

Civ2 fits easily onto a single CD, so there's no reason there would be a "budget version."

Original Civ2 and ToT and Civ2MGE can often be gotten on eBay for about $5 apiece. No need to buy anything in a story that looks dicey to you.

I'm 99% sure that "budget" version is indeed the original, including all of the movies and advisors. It all fits on one CD just nicely.

It's mainly budget because I guess it's only a jewel case, and no manual or posters (even if it does come in a cardboard box). Other than that, of course, Civ2 is ancient as far as computer games go, so it's just another way of selling it, making it look "retro" rather than just old.

I have a "Microprose classic" budget version of Test of Time and I'm pretty sure it's not missing anything (except for the manual, which only comes as a PDF on the CD).

So if you want the manual and poster, you should probably try finding that on eBay.
