    1. You can probalby cut some of the ship Slots-while I know both sides did use warships, really, the naval war was at best a sideshow-three types of unit, sub, surface warship, and transport would probably be enough

    2. You might think of including a couple units more for Axis allies, specifically Hunagry and Italy, both of which supplied a fair number of divisions to the war.

    3. certainly you might be able to afford putting in a few more armor classes, like more SU's on the soviet side (unless those are only the units for the first half)

@ GePap: Thank you for the feedback! I will now try to answer you!

ad (1) I think I will leave out some of the ships, you are right.

ad (2) I have still some slots free and those German allies will definitely be included! I think Bulgaria and Romania will make a nice Balkan Allies civ!

ad (3) Same as (1)! Any suggestions?

          That's nice Jim.

Looking at your units, I have a few quibbles. Why have you shortened the nose on my 109? It looks very out of proportion now - what actually needed doing was shortening the right wing, as I have here . Only the Algemeine-SS wore black, and then only when out of a combat zone. The Waffen-SS often wore camo smocks, as below. If the other SS fella is supposed to be SD, I'd have him in feldgrau rather than black. The Germans didn't paint their planes grey BTW.

I've included my tweak of Catfishes tweak of Nemo's Tiger (bit of a mouthful ). IMHO Catfish's version is the best Tiger there is.

@ fairline: Thanks for that hints, I will sure as hell update the files!

                * The SS trooper in feldgrad is the Einsatzgruppen trooper, the other one (regular SS trooper) will get a decent camo smock, thanks to you

                * The Bf-109 will be updated, stay tuned for further updates of the units, maybe today, maybe tomorrow ... who knows?

@ curt: Where can I get your fabolous Dictator ToT scens? Any chance of getting a ToT version of Dictator III? I would gladly offer any needed help though!

                  Current units file ...

                  * Some units are still missing: (1) Worker Militia, (2) Defence Position.

                  * The Settler and the Engineer slot will be filled with some units too, I have not decided yet.

                  * There are too many vessels I think. Any suggestions?

                  Any comment is highly appreciated!

How about giving the Italians "Flying Artillary", the name of their horse drawn artillary units. These units performed quite well in the Eastern campaign and earned almost nothing but praise. Their guns were smaller in size but they were extremely manuverable (? spelling). They could go where the larger guns couldn't and when the roads became a quaqmire, they could usually continue on to support the troops after everything else become stationary. They weren't to effective against armor though.

                    Just an idea.

that is a very fine fortification unit

                      about city combat:
i don't know how relevant this would be to WWII combat but ocean can be used as roads and naval units as vehicles (which can carry units as allocated).

Of course this leaves the issue of real water:
This could be simulated by high move cost terrain simulating units crossing by ship (slow units are harder to ferry across accordingly)

I do not know much about the significance of rivers/lakes in the Berlin and Moscow campaigns but perhaps these crossings could have a low defence value. The water could have bridges built across it in certain places in the form of roads.
I have never seen this done but in theory it seems a great idea

I will produce a test scenario on the computer players behaviour and practicallities of this sort of combat.
stay tuned, i will release it here within the next few days

No Yugoslavs, and also, I believe that there was very little real naval action.
