Con la partida STROMBOLI se terminó en Octubre 2023 el ya famoso y aplaudido CAMPEONATO APT, dedicado desde 2008 a las partidas de tipo pitboss con Civ4BtS. La primera partida, GAYA, se empezó en Octubre 2008. Han sido pues 15 años de partidas apasionantes que llegaron a juntar hasta unos 40 jugadores en sus mejores tiempos.
La vida es así, todo tiene un final, y en tanto que creador, organizador y albergador de este campeonato, quiero dar las gracias a todos por haber hecho vivir este apasionante ambiente durante todos estos años. También mi más sincero agradecimiento va para Manolo y Magno, que crearon el mod y la web que permitieron dar un toque profesional al sistema pitboss de base. Y a todos los que en algún momento aportaron su granito de arena para mejorar las reglas y la dinámica del campeonato. La llegada de las versiones V y VI de Civilization, y ya pronto de la VII ha hecho perder poco a poco el interés por Civ4 a pesar de que en su día fué aclamada por los especialistas y los jugadores.
