Okay, Aro told me he transfered all his games over to Beta. (passwords I suppose).

Hmmm... anything special I should know about this game. Saved it to several files in fact - and it shows up in the folder if you access it through my documents, etc, but it is not recognized by warlords. Is this game modded?

Regarding your query Beta, I don't think that we are running any mods in this game as we started it before Blake's AI came out. But best ask Aro that as he is the one that set it all up.

After some thought, as it's been soooooooo long since we last played this game, why don't we just call it Geo's victory and start a new game which will hopefully go all the way to the end!!

I think you have the problem that downloaded attachments in 'poly makes all text underscore. Civ save files are quite picky about that.
If this is the case, "rename" the savefile to this -> WarOlords_II_AD-1615_to_Aro.CivWarlordsSave

I take it Aro omitted telling you about the ingame situation?
I (the Ottomans) are currently at war with a stubborn Russian Rob. There's only a single AI-civ left (Hannibal), the other two were eliminated by Rob and FeMme (they had both one on their continent).
Me and Aro (the Celts) managed to have friendly relations throughout the whole game, exchanging resources alot. Basically I keep his capital in reasonable health while the Celts kept sofar my population happy ). The Celts are the weakest civ in score.
There's more inside info, but that's better said in a PM.

Do I look that supreme to you? Everything can still happen, and Beta has the reputation of a crackplayer. He might even make me humble.

I just think that having someone take over another player this late in a game and after such a long break between turns will be a bit weird. No offense Beta.

I vote for starting a new game.

P.S. I think that Rob is no longer even subscribing to this thread so he probably has no intention of continuing it after so long.

I see. In that case I can put my first CIV PBEM victory under my belt.

So, you two were the best fellow players one can dream to have in a PBEM. Do you want to start another Warlords PBEM or perhaps wait for the Beyond The Sword expansion if you guys have plans to obtain it?

Ah - thanks for solving the save mystery Geo.

As to this game or starting another - I am easy either way.

We could play 4 civs and 12 ai, quick speed, and no tech trading. Just a thought. A regular 4 person game is fine with me. I can be counted on to play daily, unless stuff is happening on weekends. If I am away longer, I will get a sub.

Would really like to start a new PBEM game but with BTS only about 5 weeks away I think it would be best to start a new one when it comes out. Rob and I will definitely be getting it as soon as it is released in NZ and will be eager to start playing it ASAP.

What do you guys think about that? Can you hold out that long?

BTW, Beta, just so you know, Rob and I are married. Ming has asked that I tell everyone we play with so that everything is out in the open right from the start. If you have any objections now would be a good time to bring them up.
