This does not appear to be the same problem we had before with the backups. Ricketyclik appears to have played his turn around 2:40 this morning, which is after the backup process finished. Something seems to have happened since then to terminate Keygen's session which was running PitBoss.
I am looking into what happened and should have an update in the next 20-30 minutes.

Ok, sorry about the long delay. I was called away to take care of an emergency at work. The server is back up and running now. Here is what happened and the order in which the events happened:
1. 1:00am EST - Server is suspended for backup
2. ~2:00am EST - Backup complete, server comes back up
3. ~2:40am EST - Ricketyclik plays, ending the -3200 turn. Server sends out invitation to play -3160.
4. ~3:00am EST - The server kicks keygen off to reboot because Microsoft has pushed down an update to Internet Explorer 7.
5. ~3:05am EST - The server reboots and becomes available, but of course Pitboss does not automatically restart, because that isn't how Pitboss works.
I thought that my update settings would have prevented the computer from automatically rebooting after the installation of an update, but I was wrong. I changed a setting that should prevent it from doing so in the future.
In order to get things up and running quickly, I also restored the server's state from this morning's backup, which was before the unintentional reboot. (Keygen is the only person who could have restarted Pitboss otherwise because only he knows the game's admin password.)
This means that it is still 3200BC and Ricketyclik will need to play his turn again. Once he does that, it'll be 3160BC again and we can all play.
Sorry about the inconvenience; but at least I've fixed things so it shouldn't happen again.

One last point:
Although I have changed a setting to prevent the pitboss server from automatically rebooting on updates, I am slightly concerned that this change might not take effect until the next update cycle, meaning that the server might spontaneously reboot itself in the next five through who-knows-how-many minutes.
So, Keygen, when you see this post and when you get a chance, it wouldn't hurt to log in to the pitboss server, shut down pitboss, and then go to Start -> Shutdown -> Reboot to reboot the virtual server. It should come back up in about 5 minutes at which point you can log back in and restart pitboss.
I'll keep an eye on the server as long as I can and try to stop it from rebooting if it decides to, but once this is done, we will be back to worry-free operation.
Sorry again about the hassle,
Rusty

I received an email indicating turn 3160 BC was ready to play and when I logged in the game was at 3200 BC and it was still waiting for other civs to play their turn.
Has anyone else got the same response?Let me explain something to you..... I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing. - The Big Lebowski(1998)

I did save PitBoss however and shut it down so you may restart the server. If we're quick enough ricketyclik might have the chance to play his turn in time as well...

Server is rebooted; once Keygen restarts PitBoss, we'll be back in business. Sorry again about the delays.
Also: It occurs to me that it is probably not a good idea for me to revert the server state, even one turn, unless it is absolutely necessary (unlike in this case). As of right now, we are early on in the game and I hope no-one will mind, but it could definitely detract from the integrity of the game later on, so I won't do it.
