lumpy: i had seen your musketeer outside the barbarian city but you didn't attack. and then ghandi went on to capture/destroy it... why didn't you take it? two of my best cities are ex-barbarian

It was too small for Ghandi to capture (it's just ruins now), so I wasn't worried about him stealing the land. The presence of a barbarian city delayed him from settling in the area, so I figured it was advantageous to me. His knight was severely weakened by the first attack, so I was hoping it would go and rest for a while, leaving me to take the city at my leisure. It all worked out fine in the end though.

he captured a different barb city. but what's important is that he got the money for the razing..
anyhow, doesn't matter. the city you are currently circling around was also a former barbarian city (parthian). they had nicely worked the dyes so i couldn't say no to that gift

im aware that parthian was a former barbarian city. The troops circling around were originally sent to capture it! You just beat me to it for the second time. I realise you waited a very long time though so I'm not going to whine too much this time.
