Well, i did something wrong when I set the game... My test game didn't open in my notebook...
Btw, it gave me a CTD every time I tryed!...

I'll try to figure out what I did and I shouldn't... :stupid:

Fixed. It was a problem with administrator password...

I uninstalled and then reinstalled and updated so what am I doing wrong.

I run a test with a game exactly with the same settings and people, to be sure... The problem was in the admin password, and I could load the save in other computer without any problems after I fixed it… Before that, I’ve tested with many simple games (with just two players to make it fast), just to be sure, and no troubles also. I’m using the desktop and my notebook to change files, and my tests consisted in:
1- Set a game
2- Reset the admin password (it’s the first dialog box appearing)
3- Play
4- Hit the red button
5- …And open the resultant save in other computer.

Worked every time, after “2”!
Btw, that was what tricked me first. I was running tests in my desktop only, and the administrator save was already there (I’m the admin in my comp, naturally… ). So, no admin password problems there.

Btw, about this error… I never was asked to another kind of file (101, 102 or 100), when I was trying to beat myself in stupidity…
The error was “this save is protected to avoid changes in the mod file” or something in that line. When I clicked “ok” (no other option), I had a CTD. Many CTD’s…
After a reasonable number of times, I realized what could be happening.

I have a suggestion, ForesterSOF. Probably a dumb one, but…
Set up a game in your computer (PBEM) and try to open it after saved (like in a "hot-seat" game), in the regular way: go to the PBEM games, load game, etc. Let’s see what happens.

the update would not registar as done due to some movie files.

Everything is fine now and word for Dom address does not registar with me so will post his turn here.

Now when i email I am told I am mailing a virus so off to check that out and maybe setup the mail system in civ4

Are you emailing it form inside the game? If so, maybe you shouldn't... people are reporting problems.

If not, just turn off "email scanning" in your antivirus program.

If none of that works, Dominae could download the save here...

At least we know that the 1st save works!
