nope, ollyantambo was always planned... i thought he'd be stopped longer in your culture capital, but that seemed to be easier.

the only bad thing was actually giving you chemistry. i had absolutely not considered granadiers... its only when you pointed out that fact, that i noticed them and started building them :-o

you have a knack in being stuck somewhere. in both paddy games we're in together you seem to love being south-east from me.

Bah, you guys simply couldn't take the heat for a modern victory.

a modern victory was virtually impossible. while i opted for the balanced GNP, MfG and military choice, aided by enough land, you went full out for GNP maximising... and with your civics and traits and national epic, you were spawning GP after GP... at that rate you would have outresearched all of us if there was not to be a war

so basically it was for me "speak now or forever hold my peace"


btw: i was really surprised when i saw you had rifling. i think that had you upgraded all your units (i even fought an archer!), it would have been much more difficult...

Yeah, made the wrong call there.
Again, this was for me a testgame the second I saw those diplobugs back in November-December when our game started.

no offence, but that's a bit of a lame excuse...
only because the cash could only be transferred indirectly via g_storrow could not be the reason for this being a test game

Whilst not a test game for me, it was certainly a learning experience and I would have made different choices in light of said experience. This was my first (and so far only) quick game. It was also my first non-4000BC start. You have to shift focus for that.

You can't have mine 'fraid. With all the different games I'm in I've taken to keeping just a single password for all of them. It also helps to have a single password for when you have a game stall and then carry on at a later date - you won't forget the password.
