OK the save file should be named something like this:
Petracelli to "one of us" 4000BC etc. When the next person opens the file it should start of with a new game for them. If you open the save it will look like to left it. It won't let you play the next players turn. Try sending it to the next player in line and see if he can open it.

i never got 3950bc so it must have gone lost around newell's turn (either he didn't get it or i didn't get his save)
